Just had the Summit black ale and it did not disappoint. Strong roasted malt body with layered hop aroma and flavor. Smooth mouthfeel and excellent head retention. Initial reaction was a little strange- but just because I've had nothing like it. For a milisecond you think '1554' but no, it's different. Thanks to Uncle Greg Norris for the tasting.
Also refreshed my palate with some Surly: CynicAle and Coffee Beer. Please Surly, open a brewery in Burlington. Or anywhere within 100 miles so you will distribute here. I love Surly.

The wedding day was an excellent end to an exciting courtship where Kelly lived in Japan for a year, Mike finished his master's degree and through all the trials, being married still seemed like a good idea! Burlington has been home since moving from Iowa City and a charming 1912 Dutch Colonial, and now an 1850 farm house has provided shelter and a creative outlet for the past 11 years.
